Infinity Kappa 682.11cf reviewThere’s no denying this is a world-class car audio brand.Infinity has been in business since 1968.They have a very long tradition of quality, and it’s immediately apparent as soon as you pick up one of their set of speakers.Once installed, the 682.11cf Kappa speakers will bring out crystal clear and natural-sounding high frequencies, powerful drums and beats that have always been part of your music but kept hidden behind your rotted,tired-out, old factory speakers.

The speakers we review here (Kappa 682.11cf) are impressive, all things considered. They can fit various-sized openings including 5×7 and 6×8.They’re designed to handle a great deal of power on a continuous basis (RMS).Their sensitivity rating coming in at 94 dB on the other hand is actually the highest on this line-up.This means, the 682.11cf can deliver the same volume as the average car speakers with half the power. One of the biggest benefits to speakers with higher sensitivity rating is that they require a considerably less power to deliver higher volume, which makes them the most convenient speakers for a sound system powered by a factory radio or an aftermarket car stereo. But,these speakers will really rock when driven by an external amp.

Our only complaint was that these speakers (and almost all infinity car speakers we’ve reviewed on this site) lag a bit behind in terms of frequency response which led to the lack of the desired bass response – that is to be expected from all speakers with smaller woofers. That being said, these speakers will do pretty well on their own , but they’ll really shine out especially if you have a subwoofer installed – the subwoofer covers the lower bass tones, while these speakers focus on frequencies they’re best equipped to handle – highs and mid-range sound.

Polk Audio DB571

  • Type : 2-way coaxial speakers
  • Size : 5 X 7
  • Overall Frequency Response : 52Hz – 22kHz
  • Nominal Impedance : 4 Ohms
  • Power Handling
    • RMS : 60 Watts
    • Peak : 180 Watts
  • Sensitivity : 93 dB
  • Warranty : 1 year

Reviewing Polk Audio db571Polk Audio offers two 5×7 speaker models (DB571 && MM571).They’re are pretty fascinating picks as well;these speakers are marine certified, which means they’re solid speakers built to withstand harsh operating and outdoor conditions, so you can use them in various application including boats of all types,ATV and off-road vehicles.

Polk audio speakers are the most stylish speakers on the market, they look great and sound even better.Polk speakers offer cutting edge capabilities like power handling, looks and aesthetics and more for a reasonable price and high sensitivity rating as well as sharp frequency response.A well thought out combination of high-quality speaker materials and design make these speakers the best 5×7 speakers you can buy for your vehicle.

The db571 speakers for example feature woofers made from a polymer/mica blend and durable surround that serves to deliver high sound output with minimal breakup and distortion even under excessive load.Liquid-cooled 3/4″ silk/polymer dome tweeters rely on Neodymium magnets to produce high notes, immersing you in bright musical detail.Additionally, the built-in two way crossovers redirect frequency signal – high and low frequencies towards the proper driver – highs to to the tweeters and lows to the woofers ,resulting in a seamless, efficient stereo-imaging.

Whether you’ve got a factory or an aftermarket car stereo, these Polk audio speakers will spice up your daily drive and make it more enjoyable. Our only complaint about these speakers is their relatively narrow frequency range of 52Hz – 22kHz.For comparison, some of the best car speakers we reviewed on this site can hit as low as 27Hz and as high as 37kHz.With both frequency ranges being far beyond the range of humain hearing, most people won’t make a difference. However,if you’re a seasoned audiophile, admittedly,a narrow frequency range is nothing to write home about.

Infinity Reference 6832cf reviewInfinity Reference speaker series are some of the best selling car speakers on the market. They’re the best car speakers you can get for under $60.And we like them for a lot of the same reasons we like the Kappa series speakers. They can fit both  5″x7″ and 6″x8″ openings. They feature a Plus One+ woofer cone design which consists of expanding cone surface area so you can enjoy richer, deeper lows. This technology delivers a cone with larger surface area than competing models of the same size, and therefore, more bass output and higher efficiency. What we like the most about these speakers is that they’re equipped with a level control, which allows you to fine tune sound sharpness to match your musical taste. These speakers can be safely driven by any headunit – be it a factory installed receiver or an aftermarket stereo.

The 6832cf is a 5”x7” (it will also fit 6×8 openings) 2-way full-range speaker rated at 60 watts RMS and designed to improve the fun and impact of your music, thus it makes a quality factory replacement.

JBL is another iconic brand in this industry.JBL speakers are pretty popular nowadays, and with good reason, mostly because of their high quality
materials, design, craftsmanship, and competitive pricing. These speakers can be found almost everywhere – your local music venue’s PA system, your aunt’s deluxe home theater, your friend’s headphones, your colleague’s Bluetooth speakers. That being said, it makes more sense that you would also find them in cars as well.

JBL offers two models of 5×7 speakers – a coaxial (GTO8628) and component model (GTO8608C). Both of them would be great buys.Much of it comes down to personal preference. Like with any product, you can get some really solid speakers if you’re willing to shell out a few extra bucks.

Well,if you’ve not yet made your mind up on which model to choose, let us shed some light on what makes the difference.Coaxial speakers combine all their drivers (woofers and tweeters) in one single unit, whereas component speakers (also known as separate) separate their drivers.Component speakers consist of a bass/midrange driver, which is the part responsible for bass and midrange frequencies reproduction;and a tweeter which covers high frequencies.Component speakers include a third part driver known as a crossover which keeps the high and low frequencies flowing to the proper drivers for a better stereo-imaging and a wider sound stage.

You might be asking , Which one is the best? Well, that’s not an easy question to answer. Both of them have their own pros and cons. Some of the strong points offered by each option include :

Coaxial speakers :
  • Low cost.
  • Direct & easy fit.
  • No crossover is required.
Component speakers :
  • Superior sound quality.
  • Greater tweeter mounting flexibility – optimum imaging and soundstaging.

As we have stated before, both these speakers are pretty solid. If you’re looking for an easy fit, then the coaxial version is your best bet.Otherwise,if you’re a seasoned audio connoisseur, and are willing to spend extra money, then component speakers will truly revitalize your music.

Rockford Fosgate P1572 reviewedFinally, here’s Punch P1572 by Rockford Fosgate which is a decent set of speakers that you can get for under $55.Something’s value is defined pretty much by its quality over cost or what you get for you pay. With that being said,we believe that for the price, you really can’t get too much better.

One of the bigger cons to Rockford Fosgate Punch P1572 is their narrower frequency range of 75 – 22k Hz.These speakers are also lacking in terms of sensitivity (89 dB).
