- Price.
Infinity subs come at lots of different price points. For example, the sub linked to above is about $60, which is reasonable for anyone looking for a solid car subwoofer that doesn’t break that bank. However, you can also find many Infinity subs at higher price points – from $100 up into the $200 range.
- Bass.
This subwoofer provides an excellent bass for the money. It is built with high-quality materials; the large-roll rubber surround, for example, absorbs distortions ensuring clean bass response. A High-gloss, lightweight polypropylene woofer, on the other hand, assures maximum efficiency. As a result, the sub produces high output even with the modest amplifier power output. And since you want your investment to last, Infinity went the extra step and integrated a built-in internal cooling system to protect the sub’s inner workings and keep it performing at its peak.
- Special features.
This is one of the few car subwoofers that can be ordered not only in 12″ inch but in 10″ and even 8″ inch when you’re tight on space. So if you’re starting from the ground up in designing and building your custom sound system, don’t skip on this woofer.

Pioneer TS-W304R 12-Inch
Pioneer is one of our most-reviewed car audio manufacturer brands. They’re a company known for their long tradition of making affordable audio equipment, and their component subwoofers are no exception. So how do their subwoofers measure up?
- Price.
Pioneer car subwoofers are very affordable, which is why they made this list since we’re assuming most people reading it are beginners. And with most of their subwoofers under $100, you can get a really decent subwoofer that will breathe a new life into your audio system without breaking your bank account.
- Bass.
The bass was surprisingly good. It’s the result of an extremely low-frequency coverage and a remarkable peak power rating. Pioneer’s car subwoofers are well known for their very-low-frequency reproduction, one of the lowest we reviewed, in fact.
The most impressive part of this component subwoofer is its 1300-watt dynamic peak power rating. While it’s not recommended to push quite to this level, it’s obvious that this sub can handle a great deal of power. One of the most subtle but most useful features was that the sub’s efficiency is high, which greatly increases converting power into sound (decibels).
To sum it up, this is a subwoofer truly devoted to bass.
- Style/Size.
This is a fairly cool-looking subwoofer that has been upgraded with a new look, stronger performance, and an increase in power handling. It can be ordered in two sizes, 12″ inch and 10″ inch. Both of them are suitable for both free-air and enclosed use.
- 12" component subwoofer for ported or sealed enclosures
- 1300 Watts Max Power
- Composite IMPP Seamless Cone

- Bass.
Kenwood has been operating in the audio equipment industry for decades. And the quality of their products reflects their experience level. For example, we’ve found that their car subwoofers are of much more consistently good quality than their car speakers.
Kenwood KFC-W3013PS sub is built with high-quality materials and fine craftsmanship. Its cone, for example, is built with heavy-duty polypropylene reinforced with a tough rubber surround for long-lasting and durable. And it can handle up to 400 watts RMS so that you can rock out with plenty of big basses.
